Award
The Sport Historical Deed of the Year Award
Finnish Society for Sport History founded the Award for the Sport Historical Deed of the Year in 1999. It can be awarded yearly to an individual or society according to following criteria:
- Activity in promoting the study or general interest in sport history.
- Meritorious work in research, tradition collecting, publication or other field relating to sport history
- Exemplary work in recording and presenting traditions of a society.
The winner of the Award is decided by the Board of the Finnish Society for Sport History and published in connection with the annual General Session of the Society
